Red Eléctrica se encuentra entre las siete compañías líderes del sector “utilities” a nivel mundial que destacan en términos de retorno de capital, posicionamiento en su industria,calidad de la gestión en relación a la responsabilidad medioambiental, social y de gobierno corporativo.
En el estudio realizado por el banco de inversión Goldman Sachs se han identificado
aquellas compañías mejor posicionadas en lo que a responsabilidad social corporativa se refiere. En este estudio se han analizado 55 compañías del sector "utilities" de 17 países.
Goldman Sachs ha utilizado 24 indicadores objetivos y cuantificables englobados en cinco categorías: medioambiente, grupos de interés, empleados, liderazgo y gobierno corporativo, para evaluar la actuación de las 55 compañías en los aspectos mencionados. Las compañías líderes destacan considerablemente sobre el resto de las compañías del sector “utilities” que también forman parte de la lista GS SUSTAIN. Red Eléctrica ha obtenido una puntuación de 77 sobre 100 situándose a 8 puntos por encima de la media.
